DR. PETRA OST,DR.MED.VET, DAVCS DMV: Justus-Liebig University, Giessen, Germany Internship: Justus-Liebig University, Giessen, Germany Residency: Ohio State University AVCS Certification: Staff Surgeon at MedVet Cleveland Founded one of the first veterinary specialists offices in the Portland area Founded Mt. Hood Veterinary Specialists, which joined with SEPAH in '07. Dr. Ost was also one of the first veterinary surgeons to perform the TPLO in the US ('95). She now lives in the Damascus with her husband (Dr. Don Kennard, Medical Director of VCA-12 Mile Animal Hospital), their two children, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 3 horses. Her surgical interests include a wide variety of soft tissue, orthopedic and neurological surgeries.
Dr. Bonnell is a 1983 Colorado State graduate. She has practiced veterinary medicine in the Portland area for 17 years and has been at SEPAH for 12 years. Prior to Portland, Dr. Bonnell practiced in Texas and North Carolina.
Dr. Both joined SEPAH 20 years ago! He enjoys surgery cases, both soft tissue and orthopedics.
Dr. Rockstad joined SEPAH as one of our emergency room doctors in 2004. Recently she moved to our evening shifts to allow more case management and follow up with her clients. Dr. Rockstad shares her home with 1 rescue dog (Kena, a small dog of curious and unknown ancestry), 3 rescue kitties (Simon, Sienna, Archer), and 1 husband (named Ryan).
Dr. Holmes is a 1998 University of Georgia graduate. She has been part of our SEPAH team for 11 years. She enjoys feline and emergency medicine. Dr. Holmes is trained in advanced ultrasonography through Sound Technologies and has been doing abdominal ultrasounds for 6 years.
Dr. Valori Johnson is a 2004 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed an internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists before joining SEPAH in 2006. Her family currently shares their home with two cats, one Great Dane, and a pair of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. .
Dr. Kate Larson attended veterinary school at Oregon State University. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Larson joined our team at SE Portland Animal Hospital in 2006. Dr. Larson enjoys spending time with her family, human and furrpet! They have a German Wirehaird Pointer dog named "Bre" and and a Siamese named "Jack".
Dr. Ost is a 1980 graduate of the University of Giessen in Germany and completed her residencey in 1982. Dr. Ost completed her surgical residency at Ohio State University in 1985.
